Poster Presentation Information

The Humanitarian Health Conference theme is “Equip. Connect, Go!” 

Conference organizers welcome all participants to present posters of their completed and/or ongoing professional work. Posters highlighting student work are highly encouraged. Posters will be displayed for the duration of the conference and may focus on any global health topic.


Poster Presentations content may be global health education, research or innovation-based, or case study. Special consideration will be given to the following topics:


  • Impact of international rotations and experiences on learner development
  • Impact of implementing public health services in communities with limited resource
  • Clinical issues in resource-poor communities
  • Sustainability implications for short-term international projects or partnerships
  • Global Impact of medical mission
  • Innovative approaches in global health 
  • Global health research 

Eligibility Requirements 

  1. Submit an abstract
  2. Submit a digital copy of your poster in PowerPoint format
  3. All presenters must register for the event as an attendee. Student scholarships are available (contact leda@inmed.us for details). 

Poster Presentation Guidelines 

  • Abstracts, posters in PowerPoint format, and video presentations may be submitted via the form below by May 15, 2024.
  • Presenters must be available to meet with poster presentation judges to answer questions on Thursday, May 29 between 5:50 – 6:40 pm. 
  • Acknowledgment of receipt of submissions will be sent by e-mail to the lead presenter after you complete your submission. Letters of acceptance will be sent by e-mail to the lead presenter after the peer review process is completed. 
  • Presenters may not use any poster presentation to market products or services.
  • Please bring handouts and business cards to enhance your networking opportunities.
  • Poster size must not exceed 60 x 40 inches.
  • Bring printed copies of the abstract.
  • No honoraria or travel expense reimbursement will be provided.
  • Poster presenters are invited to attend plenary and breakout sessions.
  • Presenters must be available during the designated Poster Presentation times to present posters to interested persons in the Exhibit Hall.

Poster Presentation Awards

Prizes will be awarded to the top poster award winners in both the student category and the professional category.  Student Category includes students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or master's level program.  Professional Category includes students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or master's level program.  Professional Category includes individuals in doctorate programs or post-academic training.  Any questions may be sent to leda@inmed.us
